We need the driver's license of the person that will be the main operator of the boat & will be signing the contract to take full liability. We want to make renting a boat an easy & enjoyable process. Here's what you need to know to be prepared!

We will go over the terms and conditions & take payment (rentals must be paid in full before leaving the dock). You will then sign all the paperwork.
Do you have insurance?
Any boat you decide to rent should be insured, and you may be given the option of paying for additional insurance against damage.
However, you may want to check ahead of time whether your car insurance, home owners policy or credit card company offers the option of adding short-term boaters’ insurance coverage.
Next, you will need to watch a safety video.
In 2017, The Lake George Park Commission required all renters must watch a 5 minute safety video and it must be shown to all renters on premise before renting. We know it has been a couple years and previous renters have seen it. It is a great reminder of the navigation buoys, speed limits and laws for boating on Lake George, safety of each renter is always our 1st priority.
Lastly, we will bring you to your rental boat.
Once you have watched the safety video a dockhand will come take you to your rental boat. They will go over condition of the propeller and skeg, along with showing each rental operation information on the boat. The dockhands will also get each renter the water sports equipment & life vests that they need. This is the time to ask the dockhand if you have any questions!
Other information:
2 and 4 hour rentals are on a walk-in basis only. We only take reservations on full day rentals or longer.
Rental Deposit & Cancellation: We require a $250 deposit for reservations. Cancellations must be made by 14 days prior to the reservation start date to receive full refund of deposit; otherwise the deposit will be held as a credit on file for future rentals. Although we do our very best to make sure you get the boat requested, we cannot always guarantee availability due to mechanical failures, damages, etc.
Maximum weight includes people and gear. This should not be exceeded for any reason!
No Boats are to be used after sundown. NO exceptions
Gasoline: Each Rental comes with a full tank of gas, the renter is responsible for only what they use throughout the rental. There ar several gas stations on the lake, fuel instruction will be provided at checkout
Parking: Due to limited parking, first vehicle per boat is free. Each additional vehicle will be a $10 fee, parking takes will be provided at the rental office. Snug Harbor South Only: we do have an additional lot for large vans and RVs or vehicles with a trailer, we provide a shuttle to that lot during business hours.
